Delete your account
You can do it yourself, from inside the app, in under a minute. You do not need to ask us and you do not need our permission.

The app shows you exactly what happens, asks you to confirm the date, and asks for your password so it knows it is really you. Your password is checked on our servers, never in the app.
What happens when you confirm

Your account is disabled straight away
You are signed out everywhere, your profile stops being visible, and you cannot send or read messages. Nobody is told you are leaving. To other people your account simply stops appearing.

You have 15 days to change your mind
We show you the date it will be erased. Sign back in any time before it and choose Continue. Signing in on its own does not cancel anything, so an accidental sign-in cannot undo your decision for you.

After 15 days it is permanent
Your profile, photos, interests, dating profile, settings, friends, blocks and memberships are erased, and your login stops working. Neither you nor we can restore it.
The messages you sent stay in other people's conversations. Your name and picture come off them and they show as coming from a former member, but the text remains, because a conversation belongs to everyone in it. If you want the content gone too, delete those messages before you confirm. The 15 days are also your chance to go back and do it. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
If you cannot get into the app
A forgotten password, a device that will not run it, an account you can no longer sign in to. Fill this in and a person will handle it, or write to support@sfsocial.app directly.
Never send us your password. We will never ask for it, and we do not need it to do this. We reply to the address on the account first and only act once we know the request came from the person who owns it, which is also what stops somebody else deleting your account.
